My Artistic Journey
In the late eighties after a failed attempt to leave Manhattan, I became a computer savvy graphic designer. It was at this time I began my yoga and meditation practice at Integral Yoga in the West Village. My first realization of the practices' benefits was while playing tennis. My game was less erratic, my strokes more consistent and well placed.
Many artists at the time fought using the computer. I embraced it as a tool —considering it similar to using a paint brush and oil paint skillfully. Professionally, clay was the first medium I used. Its malleability suited me. Later, I would graduate to charcoal, oil crayons, and paint, all having that plastic quality. I usually work in series. The artwork on this site chronicles my various periods and styles.
